Things to Do in San Agustin

Gran Canaria is home to 5 amazing resort towns including Puerto Rico, Maspalomas, Playa del Ingles, Las Palmas and San Agustin. Each town has its own characteristics and attracts a different type of tourist. If you are looking for a quiet holiday away from the bustle of tourists, then you should head to the south eastern resort of San Agustin. You'll find out more about this town as you read on.

San Agustin is a great place to have a quiet relaxing holiday. It has all the standard things that you would expect to experience in a resort such as sandy beaches, excellent weather, clear blue waters etc, and it also has a low key night life.

There are 3 beaches in this town which are all situated on a shoreline that is 1.2 miles in length. The sand on the beaches varies in color, from black to white, and a mixture of both colors depending on what stretch of the shoreline you are on.

One of the more popular beaches in this town is Playa de San Agustin, which has black sand. It's quite a small beach, but it is a great place for diving. Behind the beach is a promenade that hosts several restaurants which serve local cuisine and sea food.

Night life.

You won't find clubs pumping out loud music in this town, instead you can expect to spend the night in a restaurant, bar or one of the two casinos that are located in San Agustin, you can be sure of a good night out regardless of where you choose to go. If you do decide that you want to go somewhere a bit livelier you can always head down to the Maspalomas or Playa del Ingles which have a more vibrant night life, they are only a short distance away.

As you can see although San Agustin isn't as popular as other resorts, there is still enough going on to keep you busy.
